By booking a safari or tour with Walant Tours and Safaris (“we”, “us”, “our”, or “Walant”), you (“you”, “client”, “traveler”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
Bookings & Payments
A deposit may be required to confirm your safari reservation where necessary, such as in the case where we have to reserve your accommodation with partner hotels, otherwise we do not ask for deposits.
Full payment should be made before the safari begins, unless otherwise agreed.
Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the time of booking.
Price Changes and Variations
Prices are based on current rates for accommodations, park fees, fuel, and exchange rates. We reserve the right to increase prices if there are unavoidable increases in costs (e.g., government fees, taxes, fuel surcharges) after booking. We will notify you promptly of any increase exceeding 5%. If the increase exceeds 10%, you may cancel without penalty (deposit refunded, minus any non-recoverable costs already incurred).
Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations made by you 24 hours before the safari are eligible for a full refund.
No-shows or last-minute cancellations may not be refunded, or may be refunded partially.
Refunds (if applicable) will be processed in the original form of payment.
Safari Itinerary & Changes
Itineraries are planned carefully but flexible due to wildlife movements, weather, road conditions, or other factors. We reserve the right to make reasonable changes (e.g., substitute accommodations of similar standard or adjust routes). Significant changes will be communicated as soon as possible.
Health and Safety
Safaris may involve outdoor activities and close encounters with wildlife. Guests are expected to follow the guidance of their safari guide at all times.
Walant Tours and Safaris is not responsible for injuries or incidents resulting from non-compliance with safety instructions.
Liability
While we take every precaution for your safety, Walant Tours and Safaris cannot be held liable for delays, losses, damages, or expenses beyond our control (e.g., weather, flight delays, natural events).
Third-party services (such as hotels or airlines) are subject to their own terms and conditions.
Use of our Website
Content on our website (text, images, logos) is owned by Walant Tours and Safaris and cannot be used without explicit permission.
Although thorough screening has been done before being listed on our website, We are not responsible for external websites linked from our site.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be resolved in Kenyan courts.
